Eric Dolphy Quintet - Outward Bound (1960), jazzA 1960 release, one of Eric Dolphy’s first recordings as a leader. He had been working with Mingus as a sideman prior to this. Outward Bound is bop oriented aside from Dolphy’s flute and bass clarinet parts. He also adds some of his early avant-garde style. Includes alternate takes and a bonus track.
