The Max Roach Trio Featuring the Legendary Hasaan (1965)A trio consisting of Max Roach, bassist Art Davis, and piano player Hasaan Ibn Ali. According to All Music Guide, this is Hasaan’s only recording. The drums are exceptional of course, and Hasaan’s style is original. The album has a little bit of an avant garde feel to it at times. Released on Atlantic.
